Memories of Royal Ascot & Cheltenham Horse Racing by stretch limo

ascot 2As a child, horse racing was always massive in my house. Every Saturday morning, I saw my dad get up do a service call then off he would go to the bookies, place his bets and bring home rolls and cakes for lunch. He would sit in front of the TV from 1pm and we would very rarely see him move from his chair, he would jeer at the horses from the front room as if he was there in the stands. Horse racing was his passion the way he would unwind.

For my Dads 50th birthday he wanted to go to Cheltenham, we sent him in full VIP style stretch limo all the way. He had never ever travelled in a limousine and to be honest when we told him that was the way he was getting their he was not too amused, like a few people was never too keen on this Stretch American jobbies however I can truly say this was the best experience of his life. His face in the pictures said it all beaming smiles in every one! After that day I can hand on heart say he was amazed with limousine and where the dream of 24-7 Limos began.

The month of June sees the return of Royal Ascot. The prestigious race course has been providing first class racing since 1711, that’s over 300 years of racing! And was always a week of nothing but horse racing on our TV. Every year Royal Ascot sees over 1000 limousine descend on the course bringing people from far and wide to experience the very best in horse racing. I love this time of year, people go to Ascot for all reasons but the main reason being to have fun with friends and family who may or may not have a passion for horses but just looking for a great day out and Royal Ascot never disappoints and travelling in stretch limo is the best way the only way to go.

My dad no longer with us if he was I’m sure he would have his limo booked. However come big race meetings especially Royal Ascot week you will find me sitting in front of the TV, reliving my child hood, looking back on fond memories, jeering the horses on, while you lucky people are out in the stands, never know this year I might just make it there myself!
